Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by 'Breaking the Spine'
Thanks to Kapri from Book Fanatics for the heads-up on this one!
Grace by Elizabeth Scott
Grace was raised to be an Angel, a herald of death by suicide bomb. But she refuses to die for the cause, and now Grace is on the run, daring to dream of freedom. In search of a border she may never reach, she travels among malevolent soldiers on a decrepit train crawling through the desert. Accompanied by the mysterious Kerr, Grace struggles to be invisible, but the fear of discovery looms large as she recalls the history and events that delivered her uncertain fate.
This looks like a very interesting read, and I'm especially curious as to how Elizabeth Scott will handle aspects of touchy subjects like politics/religion. I also love the cover- the colors are great and the subject matter apt. Can't wait!

Wow, great cover!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very interesting book. Suicide bombing is something I just can't wrap my head around!
ReplyDeleteI've heard endless praise about all of Elizabeth Scott's books but I never seem to get round to actually reading them. This one looks really intense, and even though I'm not much of a fan of war stories, I'll definitely be taking a closer look at it when it comes out =)
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to read Grace too. It just sound sooo good.
ReplyDeleteThat is mysterious, I will have to keep this one in mind.
