Waiting on Wednesday is hosted at Breaking the Spine
Firelight by Sophie Jordan
With her rare ability to breathe fire, Jacinda is special even among the draki—the descendants of dragons who can shift between human and dragon forms. But when Jacinda’s rebelliousness leads her family to flee into the human world, she struggles to adapt, even as her draki spirit fades. The one thing that revives it is Will, whose family hunts her kind. Jacinda can’t resist getting closer to him, even though she knows she’s risking not only her life but the draki’s most closely guarded secret.
I've wanted to read this ever since I saw the gorgeous cover around the blogosphere, and now that Kiersten White has assured us that the romance is juicy, I'm even more excited for it. If you've been following for a while, you'll probably know that the three things I go crazy over in books are paranormal done in a unique way, good romantic tension, and gritty, realistic characters. Firelight seems like it ticks the first two boxes, and if it can give me number three as well, I'll probably go nuts.
