'In My Mailbox' is hosted by The Story Siren
St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . . Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.
Yesterday I bought the first 'Vampire Academy' for two reasons:
a) I love Richelle Mead's 'Dark Swan' books
b) Hannah made me promise to read them.
I guess I'm cheating a little- I'm nearly at the end, and loving it. However, the only other book I bought this week- because of severe exam-period desperation, I assure you- was Paul McKenna's 'I Can Make You Sleep' which I didn't particularly want to post about.
So- expect a review soon. Ta for now!

Vampire Academy is the best book. Once you get your hand around the three different types of vampires, the story is awesome as.

ReplyDeleteI've read Vampire Academy and was pleasantly surprised by it. I haven't had the chance to read the other books in the series but I will definitely be reading them. Happy reading!
